About the Teachers

Susannah has been a teacher at Wetzel Services since 2011 and Language Manager since February 2013. She taught English in China from 2007-2010 and since returning to South Carolina, has taught English to adults from nearly 20 countries. She holds degrees in journalism (B.A.) and English (M.A.) and enjoys helping with writing projects for Wetzel Services as well as teaching. She and her husband, an expat from Barcelona, take annual trips to visit family in Spain.

Elissa started teaching English for Wetzel in 2007. She left for a few years for her husband’s expatriation to England, but returned to teaching in 2012 and additionally joined the Wetzel office team in 2015. She holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and is CELTA-qualified as a teacher of English to students of other languages.  Elissa, her husband, and three children have been on assignments in Mexico and France in addition to England, so she understands the joys and challenges both of living abroad and moving to Greenville.
