Coming to the Upstate

Intercultural Training to the Upstate

Have you ever asked yourself . . .

  • What’s with all the churches and different denominations in South Carolina?
  • Should I really address everyone by their first name?
  • How should I react when my new neighbors come over with a housewarming gift?
  • What kind of school will my child be attending?
  • What happens if I have to go see a doctor?
  • How are interactions in business meetings different in the US?
  • How important is political correctness?

If yes, then maybe we can provide some answers for you in our Intercultural Seminar!

Our training is aimed at making the transition from your home to your host country as smooth as possible and will ensure you are equipped with the background, practical tools and techniques necessary to live and work in a multicultural environment.

When you decide to take on an international assignment, the challenges you are facing are multi-faceted: You will be living and working in a society different from the one you are accustomed to and many of its cultural ways will be new and appear strange to you. The lack of cultural awareness in a new environment has many levels of impact – from an embarrassing moment to a breakdown in communication to a tainted personal or business relationship or even a lost deal.

Here at Wetzel Services, we have over eight years of experience in assisting expatriates to develop intercultural skills and become culturally competent in an increasingly complex international world.

Let us help you make the most of your international experience!
